"Leadership
Training through Community Involvement"
is the Jaycee concept.
Through organizing a variety of projects,
our members gain leadership skills. We are
a group of young men and women between the
ages of 21 and 40 who want to gain valuable
leadership skills and have a great time in
the process. The age range reflects the original
mission of the Jaycees... to offer young people
a vehicle through which they can meet new
friends, learn leadership skills, make a difference
in their community, and make key business
contacts that can help further their career.

Most of our projects fall into three categories-
Business Development, Community Development,
and Individual Development. These areas reflect
the balance between the chapter, the member,
and the community that allows us to be effective
in our work. Business Development focuses
on improving our leadership skills, operating
our chapter, and promoting its goals. Individual
Development is about improving the individual
skill level of the member. Community Development
is the end result of all of our efforts- to
help others and improve Tyler..
We understand how hectic life can be. That's
why the Jaycee organization has no time requirement
to belong. Whatever time you can commit to
furthering your personal and professional
goals through the Jaycees is up to you. Many
projects are planned for each month, and you
can pick and chose which projects to attend,
and your level of involvement in them. The
choice is yours! Join Today!
